2025 Pepper Lineup

Back in 2020, we bought our very first pepper plants from a local grower on Mother’s Day weekend. We were so excited to get them into the ground at our community garden plot that we didn’t even think to check the weather forecast. Rookie mistake. Two days after planting, a late frost rolled in—and just like that, all 5 pepper plants were toast. RIP to our very first peppers. 🌶️💀

Flashback to 2020, our very first pepper garden.

Fast forward five years, and things look a little different. This year, we started over 250 pepper plants in our basement grow room! Every season we try to improve, and 2025 has been a big year for learning. Huge shoutout to Mariah at FarmBaby for helping us get things dialed in. We've been starting peppers in our basement for the past three years, but we always ran into a few issues. Thanks to her help, our plants are looking better than ever.

The biggest game-changer? Insulating the grow room, adding a heater, and throwing in a humidifier. Turns out, peppers like it cozy—and our chilly utility room just wasn’t cutting it.
